3wCommunications Launches New Website for Garden State Discovery Museum
October 29, 2012 – 3wCommunications, a leader in delivering award winning technology solutions including website design and website development, recently completed a new website for Garden State Discovery Museum (GSDM), one of south Jersey’s largest attractions with over 20 giant kid-powered exhibits providing family fun and discovery.
GSDM wanted a more inviting website that better promoted all their events, workshops, and educational programs. The challenge was to create an exciting design with simplified user navigation that would appeal to parents, teachers, and children.
With the help of 3wC’s web designers, GDSM now has an informative and exciting new website that satisfies all of its requirements. It has a brand new look and feel as well as a new interactive calendar with features it did not have with its original site. Although not yet in use, the site has a new blog, and the photo gallery has been redesigned. Another new feature of the site is the section called “Coloring Pages,” which character outlines for kids to color – a very forward-thinking interactive experience for children who come to the website.
With its new content management system, the folks at the Museum can now self-edit their site, which means they can make changes instantly without having to pay a web design company. In addition, the CMS comes with a host of “plug-ins,” which can be used at any time to extend the functionality of the site whenever the administrators at the Museum desire.
